<p>I&#8217;ve been selected as Fellow for English Creative Nonfiction in the 48th Dumaguete National Writers Workshop to be held from May 4 to 16, 2009 in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.</p>
<p>The prestigious workshop &#8212; the longest running writers workshop in Asia &#8212; is sponsored by the Silliman University and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. National Artist for Literature Edith Lopez Tiempo is the Workshop Director Emeritus.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Seven of my Filipino poems made it to <em>Likhaan 2008: The Journal of Philippine Contemporary Literature (UP Centennial Edition)</em>, edited by National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario.</p>
<p>The book-journal was launched last December 5, 2008 at the UP Writers Day. Likhaan is envisioned to be the Philippines&#8217; most prestigious literary journal.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our small literary group, the Dapitdilim Fellowship of Writers will be taking part in the marathon overnight reading of Jose Rizal&#8217;s <em>Noli me Tangere</em> (translated by National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario) in the Filipinas Heritage Library tomorrow dawn. </p>
<p>We are scheduled to read two chapters at 5 o&#8217; clock in the morning. The readers and performers will include well-known artists, authors, students, and other lovers of Filipino literature.</p>
