<p>My English essay &#8220;South of South Korea&#8221; was featured in <em>ANI: The Philippine Literary Yearbook (Volume 35: The Pinoy as Asian)</em> of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, which was launched on November 26.</p>
<p>My Filipino short story &#8220;Tira-tira&#8221; got into <em>The Literary Apprentice 2009</em> of Vibal Foundation and the UP Writers Club (with an introduction by Butch Dalisay). The book-journal was launched on December 4.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My photos have appeared in <em>Pitik-Bulag: Letra at Liwanag (A Celebration of Contemporary Filipino Art and Poetry)</em>, a coffee table book by the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and <em>Balikbayan</em>, a travel and lifestyle magazine by the Asian Journal.</p>
<p>&#8220;Pitik-Bulag&#8221; was edited by National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario (a.k.a. Rio Alma). I served as the photographer for the poets and painters. <p>I&#8217;ve been selected as Fellow for English Creative Nonfiction in the 48th Dumaguete National Writers Workshop to be held from May 4 to 16, 2009 in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.</p>
<p>The prestigious workshop &#8212; the longest running writers workshop in Asia &#8212; is sponsored by the Silliman University and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. National Artist for Literature Edith Lopez Tiempo is the Workshop Director Emeritus.</p>
